Sidedoor Studio is an award-winning design studio in Nevada City, California. Studio owner Laura Montgomery Waag combines the centuries-old art of letterpress printing with her classical training as a graphic designer. Using a restored antique Vandercook printing press, she crafts a variety of greeting cards and art prints. Also, she recently began working in the art form of silk painting, creating vibrant designs on luscious silks.
Laura attended UCLA and
Otis College of Art & Design.
After many successful years
as a commercial graphic
designer serving clients large and small, she now creates art, greeting cards and other items for sale online and in shops local to her beautiful hometown.
